A Beautiful Port City

• Qingdao, site of the 2008 Olympics sailing competitions, is one of China's most beautiful cities, and is a romantic resort area. The blue waves and golden beaches of the Yellow Sea, the picturesque summit of Laoshan, and the setting of the story Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio exemplify Qingdao's natural beauty and cultural endowment. Establishment of China Headquarters

• Following the implementation of reforms in China, in the 1990s the SPR holding company developed 14.5 hectares of land in beautiful Qingdao as a 100,000 m2 building for high-end international tenants and other businesses. Around the same time, SPR also introduced a number of business ventures, including the SPR Coffee franchise system, SPR Hotel, SPR Global Surf Plaza Resort, and SPR French Bakery. These businesses established partnerships with prominent international organizations, including the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA), Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE), National Coffee Association of USA (NCA), China Chain Store & Franchise Association (CCFA), RCI, and Small Luxury Hotels (SLH).

• SPR is now flourishing in more than 60 cities throughout China. SPR's logo has become a trusted symbol throughout China and in many overseas areas, and the SPR trademark is highly regarded. SPR's founder was granted Qingdao's highest honor—the Qindao Star Award—by the city government, and has been listed in the achievement column of America's Who's Who. SPR Surf Plaza International Community

• Close to a hundred villas and attached condos were built in 1992; residents include citizens of 18 countries and regions. It is considered by the people of Qingdao to be the best managed, most attractive, and most pleasant development of its kind. In addition, SPR also invested a great sum of several hundred million yuan to build the white marble SPR House at the Genesis site.

SPR Hotel

• The SPR Hotel is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels (SLH) organization. The SPR Hotel offers many types of distinctively-styled rooms, a 70-meter swimming pool, and a 60-meter health trail. The hotel and conference center are furnished in white marble inside and out. The hotel's unique bridge-style sunbathing area provides a good view of the flowing water below and moon and stars above. Fossil ophiceras stone was imported from Germany to build the lobby gallery, which is paired with a 10-meter mantel. The hotel and conference center are full of beauty and personality.

SPR Coffee's China Headquarters

• SPR Coffee is a member of the American, European, in Chinese coffee associations SCAA, SCAE, NCA, and CCFA. It has several hundred directly-run and franchise coffee shops in several dozen Chinese cities. SPR Coffee's Chinese headquarters and flagship store are located near Shilaoren Beach in Qingdao. This white marble coffee palace is located amid the most scenic possible setting. SPR Coffee is the pride of the Chinese coffee industry, and is also a leader worldwide. SPR has further established the government-approved SPR Coffee School to fulfill the mission of teaching coffee lovers and franchise store owners to become professional baristas.

Other Related Industries

• In order to satisfy people's craving for French bread in China and abroad, we have partnered with the European bread company Panelex to bring partially-baked French-style bread straight from Europe by air freight. The bread only needs to be baked for a few minutes in a special oven before it can be served piping hot. We believe this is a big step toward China's future bread revolution. Of course we have also introduced natural, fresh, healthy SPR Cool and the SPR worldwide Surf Plaza Resort timeshare system.
