The courses of SPR Coffee school include basic, intermediate and advanced and each class content of each level all incorporate progressive methods that let beginners to professional baristas all obtain the necessary knowledge from the class. Classes for the basic level include: coffee culture, coffee store management, equipment use, service procedures, beverage theory, preparation of cold and hot Italian style drinks, healthy juice and fruit tea preparation, ice blended product preparation, food theory, light meal preparation, coffee shop promotions, in store practice etc. The classes for the intermediate level are: light meal (Chinese style), coffee certification course, coffee English, equipment maintenance, shop cleanliness, coffee roast, coffee culture of various countries, customer satisfaction, sanitation protection & fire control maintenance etc. The classes for the advanced level include: appreciation of coffee, equipment maintenance, financial management of coffee shop, promotional management of coffee shop, pizza preparation, steak preparation, operational logistics of coffee shop, human resource management, logistics management, evaluation of the shop, shop lease, computer network, coffee shop atmosphere and design, preparations for opening, interviewing techniques, time management etc.

Franchise stores attending: Shanghai- Wanke Suhao Store, Huzhou- Hudong Store, Qingdao- Jima Store, Zhejiang Hangzhou- Xiyuan Store, Beijing- Rongke Store, Guangdong Dongwan- Rising Dragon Store etc.
Reflections on training: We’re glad that we just sent off another group of students and saw them leave with learning important lessons and ready to show the skills to open the business after they go back and start to make money. The SPR Coffee School’s training instructor felt very encouraged and satisfied. Most of the training students this time are owners of franchise stores and they were all eager to open their businesses, so everyone had high expectations for this training session. They wanted to practice more and they also hope to learn more practical knowledge which will be necessary to the coffee shop. They also had a very compacted time frame because they are eager to open their businesses and had lots of things to communicate with all the staff of each of the departments in the headquarters. Therefore, the learning situation was more compact this time. In order to make it easier for every SPR Coffee franchise store to have unified management we also fully offered more opportunities to practice for the students. We divided the students into an array of groups, set up small classes and let everyone have ample opportunities to practice and interchange. We also supplemented the students learning with more and better practice and theoretical content according to each student’s needs and distinct learning situation. This lets people try more and allowed them to learn more skills.

Training classes all around the country

According to the true essence of interacting activities and providing good service to your doorstep, SPR Coffee’s China headquarters not only has training work in the headquarters in China but we have extended our training classes by organizing them all around the country in every city. This tells the franchise owners of the coffee shop that the coffee shop besides products, skills and service should also represent the spiritual side and materialistic side of interacting activities. For example, the coffee shop should not only pass on superb skills but through the activities they should pass on things they know and share them with everyone. Therefore, during normal business time the coffee shop should interact and associate with the customers and during holidays they should hold interesting holiday themed activities.
So here are the operating methods of SPR Coffee’s training classes all over the country. First of all the training preparation content includes: According to the specific conditions gathered from our supervision and inspection, SPR Coffee’s headquarters will arrange a suitable training area and places for each franchise store. The Coffee School’s department at SPR Coffee’s headquarters, via the internet, will announce the newest training classes around the country, the confirmed time and locations and at the same time they will attach notification letters and application forms which after each franchise store have completed should be sent to SPR Coffee’s headquarters. Through messages or email we will notify the franchise store owners that will hold the training sessions in order for them to participate. After we have compiled the list of participants from each franchise store planning on joining the training course and made an attendance record form we give it to the training instructor before opening the class. The training instructor, according to the training content, prepares teaching material, related articles and original supplies. The instructor should then notify the franchise store that is undertaking the training to do the preliminary preparations and all departments of SPR Coffee’s headquarters will cooperate with each instructor on every thing they need during the training. After, we will carry on with the practical training content including: Standardization and further education of coffee beverage operations, instructing new research and development of product manufacturing technology, instructing the maintenance of all equipment of the coffee shop, transmitting the latest developments and policies of SPR Coffee’s headquarters, standardization and further education of light meal operations, interchange of new product that have been researched and developed by each franchise store, operation of the coffee shop, service procedures, coffee shop management, promotion of coffee shop, financial management, the product promotion and display location, activity arrangement during normal business days and seasonal activity details, etc. Finally, after each of the classes have finished the above training sessions the training instructors will summarize the training experience and achievement of each class, will put the training related pictures, information and achievements on the internet and will send it to each franchise store owner to fully increase the cultivation and strengthening of management again.
